The Pacific University has come into existence by virtue of a special Act of Rajasthan State Assembly and is sponsored by the Pacific Academy of Higher Education & Research Society. Ever since it’s humble beginning in the 1997, with the establishment of Pacific Institute of Management & Pacific Commerce College, it is still struggling to make its bench mark in education field.
Today the group has a composite strength of 15,000 plus students, 500 plus faculty members and 700 non teaching staff. The campus is spread over an area of 100 acres with beautiful landscape, lush green campus and large playgrounds. Most of the departments in the constituent colleges in the University stand out in their field and hold leading ranks in the country .The Pacific Dental College has the reputation of being No. 1 in the India providing maximum practical exposure to its students.

Pacific has a mission to promote institutions of higher learning in various disciplines, for the talented youth where they can manifest their creative potentials, acquire more advance knowledge and can develop a passion within themselves.

Pacific has major objectives to impart quality education, to establish world class infrastructure, to create a platform for the students, to focus on overall development of students through extra curricular activities like sports, cultural programs, projects and to promote quality research.

The University has also tried a variety of new programmes in Actuarial Science & Insurance Management, Finance & Control, Integrated 6 Years Diploma & Degree Programme, B.A. B.Ed., and Financial Mathematics & Behavioural Finance,which upto this time is unavailable in the country.
The University has more programs like integrated BBM-MBA and B.Com-MBA customized with CA & CS programme. The University is first to launch Bachelor of Fine Arts program in the state of Rajasthan.

The University has also tried a variety of new programmes in Actuarial Science. As Asia is fast emerging as the engine of growth for global economy, India with its vast pool of talent and having the highest youth – to – population ratio should be occupying the centre stage in this progress. To do so India has to develop an edge over other major nations by focusing on higher and technical education. With Europe & America focusing upon India for their growing needs of manpower in the knowledge based sectors; India has the opportunity to emerge as the centre point for the higher and technical education for the entire world, so the Pacific University has a vision to impart quality education and to build a strong base for various fields of research. The aim is to turn out talent with global vision, worldwide employability and leadership position in all knowledge base sectors across the world.
